Purple Dead-nettle (Red Dead-nettle) Lamium purpureum Purple deadnettle leaves are often tinted with purple. It's debatable whether this plant should be considered a Connecticut wildflower, since it grows mostly in ground disturbed by humans, not in wild areas. Also, it is not native here -- it was introduced from Europe.
Family: Mint (Lamiaceae)
