Lowland Yellow Loosestrife (Hybrid Loosestrife)
Lysimachia hybrida

Despite the names "hybrid loosestrife" and "Lysimachia hybrida," this plant is not a hybrid. These names probably comes from the fact that the leaves are intermediate in shape between those of fringed loosestrife and lance-leaved loosestrife (Lysimachia lanceolata).

• Family: Primrose (Primulaceae)
• Habitat: shores, swamps
• Height: 1-3 feet
• Flower size: 3/4 inch across
• Flower color: yellow
• Flowering time: July to August
• Origin: native
