Moth mullein gets its name from the fuzzy purple stamens, reminiscent of a moth's antennae.

• Family: Figwort (Scrophulariaceae)
• Habitat: roadsides, waste places, old fields
• Height: 2-4 feet
• Flower size: 1 inch across
• Flower color: yellow or white, with red-purple stamens
• Flowering time: June to October
• Origin: Europe and Asia
