Round-leaved Yellow Violet
Viola rotundifolia
This is one of two species of yellow-flowered violet in Connecticut. Note that this species has leaves and flowers on separate stalks, which arise directly from the base of the plant. The other species, downy yellow violet, has stems that bear both leaves and flowers.
