The Newsletter is semiannual publication of the Connecticut Botanical Society. Subscription is free with membership in the society. The Newsletter covers a wide range of topics of botanical interest in Connecticut and southern New England, including plant conservation, identification and ecology; native-plant gardening; announcements of volunteer programs and other regional activities; reviews of botanical and ecological publications; and Botanical Society news and field trips. We welcome submissions of articles and participation in newsletter construction from all CBS members, regardless of botanical background or expertise. Guidelines for Contributors
Articles or announcements for the CBS Newsletter should be submitted by e-mail to the editor, David Yih, at yyih@wesleyan.edu (Microsoft Word preferred). Please include sources, when appropriate. These may take the form of end-notes or a separate bibliography.
We appreciate receiving photos or illustrations to accompany articles. Send them as separate files (.jpeg preferred) rather than embedding them in the article document. For photos, the higher the resolution, the better. Please provide captions that include the photographer credit.
Submissions may be edited prior to publication. If you wish to review the final version of your article or announcement prior to publication, notify the editor at the time of submission.
The Newsletter is published semi-annually, with deadlines for submission on August 1st and February 1st.
